Why LifeSynch recommends Family Therapy

As a concerned parent or guardian, you may believe that your child or adolescent may be having individual problems.  A therapist will address these issues in counseling, but your child’s therapist may not be able to address important issues without you present.  Family therapy may be able to:

  1. Teach family members about functioning in general and how your family functions.
  2. Help the family focus less on the child or adolescent and more on the family as a whole.
  3. Strengthen all family members so they can work together to solve problems together.
  4. Teach ways to handle conflicts and changes in a more positive way.

When you look up a therapist for you child or adolescent, we encourage you to see if the therapist also works with families.  At LifeSynch, we believe each family has unique strengths to rally around the treatment of their loved one.  We will be glad at any time to assist you with finding a therapist to help your whole family reach a healthier and more satisfactory way of living together.
