Online Authorization Tool

Use the online authorization tool to obtain authorizations for:
- Initial intensive outpatient care
- Initial partial hospitalization
- Initial acute inpatient psychiatric care
- Initial acute inpatient detoxification
- Psychological and neuropsychological testing
- Initial and concurrent routine outpatient services

- For initial outpatient authorizations, please contact the number on the back of the patient’s ID card and speak with the Clinical Department.

Outpatient Authorization
LifeSynch authorizes up to 20 visits for the initial outpatient mental health treatment, depending on the member’s benefit structure. If further sessions are required, an additional 8-10 sessions can be authorized based on medical necessity and clinical information submitted by the provider.
EAP Sessions
The number of EAP visits depends on the member’s particular contract/plan.
